Obviously, in Portugal they drive on the left and the speed limits on the motorways range from 80km to 120km per hour. The ‘A’ and ‘B’ roads vary in speed from 40km to 80km per hour. You will fin that on entering small townd and villages ther will be ornag flashing traffic lights to warn you that there are traffic lights or junctions ahead.
Beware of enthusiastic overtaking locals and the Police. ALWAYS make sure you have your passport, driving license and car hire contract with you when driving, because if you do get stopped by the Police you will be fined on the spot if you don’t have them with you!
